Dueling Club

             To join the Dueling sign up on the Dueling message board located HERE when there are signups. Duels will consist of two students randomly paired up. They will then ask each other Harry Potter trivia questions back and forth until one of them cannot answer or runs out of time to answer. Each student has 48 hours to correctly answer the question that was asked. Weekends and holidays do NOT count towards that 48 hours. For example: If you were asked on Friday at noon a question you would have until Tuesday at noon to answer it. Arrangements may be made in advance for time off. For example: You want to signup for the Duel, but you know you are going on a vacation in a week. As long as I am notified before we start the Duel that you will be on vacation during a certain time then that time won't count against you.

Rules and Points

1- Each student has 48 hours to correctly answer the question that was asked. Weekends and holidays do NOT count towards that 48 hours.

2 - Your question must be from the Harry Potter books. You must be able to show where your answer came from if asked when your opponent answers incorrectly.. It might be a good idea to even post it without being asked.

3 - Points will be awarded as follows:

1) Each correctly answered question will be awarded 10 points.

2) Winning the first round will be worth  500 points. Winning the second round will be worth 1000 points. Winning the third round will be worth 1500 points, and so on...

3) Even if you lose you will still be awarded points for each question you answered correctly.

4) The winner will have his name put on the Dueling Trophy and it will be posted with the other winners as well as in your House's trophy case.
